Hi, I’m Monica. I’m the founder of MonyClaire, a wife, mother, dog mother, fashion lover, travel enthusiast, and someone who has reinvented herself more times than she ever expected.
Over the years I’ve worked in Special Education and the energy industry, and eventually embraced my most transformative role yet: becoming a mother. Life has taken our family from Oklahoma to San Diego and eventually to the Bay Area, with every move bringing new adventures, fresh challenges, and more opportunities to start over than I can count.
Today, our family adventures revolve around my husband, our daughter Soph, and Exxon — our stubborn but lovable Yorkie who proudly held the title of “first baby” long before we became parents. If you’ve ever considered your dog part of the family, you already understand why he’s still convinced the world revolves around him.
Somewhere between unpacking boxes, navigating motherhood, chasing a curious toddler, and trying to remember where I left my coffee, I realized something. I loved fashion. I loved travel. I loved discovering beautiful things. But I also loved being practical.
I wanted designer-inspired style without unnecessary spending. I wanted family adventures that felt special without requiring a luxury resort budget. I wanted honest conversations about motherhood that didn’t pretend everything was picture-perfect. Most importantly, I wanted a space where all of those things could exist together.
So I created MonyClaire.
